Neil Armstrong's Travels
Well it was our last day and just enough time to take a final walk around Satiago de Compostela. As I have already said, please go and visit this wonderful city for a long weekend, definitely worthwhile.
We went and collected our Certificates where we joined a rapidly growing queue, the majority of pilgrims having just finished the gruelling 800k + walk from St Jean de Pied de Port. Fair play to them all and there was a great atmosphere in the office...so much so in fact that the guy writing out our 'Compostelas' laughed when he read my name off my 'Credencial'. 'Neil Armstrong', he said, 'Really'!!! Still getting that 40 years on...cheers mum!
We left and grabbed some breakfast and did a bit of souvenir shopping before heading back to the hotel to check out. More free beers from Roberto sent us on our way and our trip was nearly over.
Fantastic memories and I hope you have enjoyed the Blog.
Finally, Craig and I wish to thank each and every one of you who sponsored us. I know you agree that the Robin Menary Foundation is a very worthwhile trust and as I hope you have seen, we earned every penny. We wish all of Robin's family every success for the future as you continue to raise awareness for Brain Tumour Research, we are with you every step of the way...

Nigel Anteney-Hoare A great blog about a "different" style camino! Well done lads.
Neil Armstrong Really appreciate that Nigel, thanks for taking the time to post and not slating us too badly for our Camino party!!! I'll never forget it and have walked the past two years and will walk again this year so much has it encaptivated me!!! Buen Camino!
Nigel Anteney-hoare We did the same trek as you in May this year. Loved it and can't stop thinking about it. A few knee problems resulted but seem to have been resolved so now planning for 2016 - maybe part of the Camino Portuguese as we live in Portugal.
