Thank goodness for pre booking. The queues are soooo long! Another stunning morning

Tour Eiffel - skip the queue, and straight up to the 2nd floor. What a view over Paris. Built in 2 years, was recognized as the masterpiece of Mr Eiffel. More than 1000ft high and weighs in @ 7000 tons. Built with 15000 metallic sections held together by 2,5 million rivets. The tower has to be painted every 7 years and uses 47 tons of paint.

Evening dinner cruise on the Marina de Paris, taking in the sites along the River Seine. Along the way got to see Musee D'Orsay, Institut de France, Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, La Conciergerie, Le Louvre, Grand Palais, Palais de Chaillot Trocadero, Statue de la Liberte, Tour Eiffel and Invalides. Other interesting points were the Pont de l'Alma and the "Le Zouave" sculpture which the Parisians use to watch the level of the river. Pont d'lena bridge - four statue...

05:45 - Arrived in Paris. Interesting drive to the hotel thru morning traffic. Bit surprised at how dirty the place is, at least they are trying to clean up all the magnificent buildings. Started off on the des Champs Élysées for coffee and pastry, followed by a city tour on the bus. Took in a quick look at the Eiffel tower(queues went on forever), Grand Palais, Notre-Dame, Palais-Royal, arc De Triomphe to name just a few.
