From Malborough Sounds we travelled inland a bit to Arrowtown, it was originally a gold digers town and was like something out of the wild west.
Leaving our hopes of finding gold behind we drove to nearby Wanaka and had three days snowboarding. On the whole we had good weather, great snow and unfortunatly a few injuries along the way. But all in all it was fab! After three days, realising we are not getting any younger we dragged our sore, aching bodies to Queenstown for a night out on the tiles. We ate at a place called Ferg Burger and had the mot enormous burger - even i could barely get my big gob round it! The next day, after Fred had another ferg burger for breakfast, we drove up the west coast towards Fox Glacier, which was pretty impressive. From there we drove through Arthurs Pass across the centre of the south island towards Christchrch. Chris & Charlotte dropped us off at Methven for a last couple of days snowboarding at Mt Hutt, and they headed north to drive to Auckland.
