Hey, for some reason my last blog didn't write everything i wanted it to and i've only just realised! After Wellington we got the ferry over to Picton where we the we then went to Kaikoura where we went whale watching and were lucky enough to see 2 sperm whales, it wa amazing. We then made our way to Nelson where we walked up the summit to the middle of New Zealand!!We also went to Abel Tasman National Park where we did a 5 hour trek, it was hard work but well worth it for the views and the beaches were lovely. After Nelson we went to Greymouth then we went to Franz Joseph (glacier)which we did a half day hike up, it was raining and cold, therefore the next day i had a stinking cold!We made our way to Wanaka where we went on a pedalo and relaxed by the lake as there wasn't a great deal there. Our next stop was Queenstown which was a great place, i did my skydive (you've hopefully seen the pictures!), I did it in a place called Glenorchy in Queenstown. I went fall 12,000ft fall which had a 40second freefall,i loved it!! Also went on a jet boat which was really fun as he got really close to rocks and did 360 degree spins! We got the gondola (cable car)up to look over Queenstown and then went on the Luge rides (like go carts but no motor). We went to Te Anau after Queenstown and went on a horseriding trek which was rather lovely, went went through streams and it turns out that my horse was in the Lord of the Rings film!We went on a trip Milford Sound which was really breathtaking with its waterfalls and mountains. We also went on a stargazing night which we got free because there were journalists there writing about it. We went to this really posh house and got given champers. We looked really closely at the moon, you could see its craters and we also saw the Southern Cross and orbiting stars!!We then went to Dunedin after here, its a very Scottish place where we went on the Gorge railway. We are now in Oamaru where we went to see the blue penguins last night, they were so cute, only 30cm tall!!They came really close but we couldn't take pictures :(. They had come back from a hard day at sea and we a bit weary, they ran off to there colony once they had climbed up the rocks! We went to a whisky distillary too and today we are going to a cheese factory where im looking forward to getting some freebees!!In the afternoon its off to Christchurch which will be our last stop before going to OZ.Hope u are all well and enjoying the snow.Love Lucy xx p.s Such a bummer about England footy eh?!
