We have a long coach ride from Taupo to Wellington but the views are amazing so it makes up for it! Only problem is that the coach was full when we checked in so me and Stuart are sat away from each other... I get a lovely guy, really sound and we chat all the way until he gets off at his stop.... and Stuart got a guy who stunk ha ha ha!! We arrive at Wellington bus station and my mum's cousin Chris and his wife Deryn are there to meet us! I have never met them...

We hire bikes for the afternoon, with our intention to have a nice cycle to a place called Huka Falls. The route on the map looks simple, but fails to mention one MASSIVE hill!!! I physically cannot push any further so I get off the bike and cry a little. Stuart just keeps peddling because he is a lot fitter than me. I'm sad. We get to the top of the hill and I'm pleased to find that it is all downhill from now.... YES!!!! I'm loving it, flying down about 60...

Taupo is beautiful! We are staying in a nice hostel overlooking Lake Taupo with a view of the Tongario Crossing. We've booked to go on a cruise to see the Maori Carvings, we arrive and the sky is clear but it's freezing! There is free tea, coffee and biscuits on the boat so we're happy! We arrive at the carvings about 2 hours later and we are both amazed to find out the history behind these famous maori carvings..... They were done with power tools and scaff...

This picture looks nice but I'm silently being sick in my mouth at the smell! ROTORUA STINKS OF ROTTEN EGGS!!!! Wow, we land in Rotorua and the place smells so bad! I've never smelt anything like this before. It's because of the Sulphur but I don't care, they should do something about it! I was nearly sick on the streets of Rotorua about a 100 times! If the smell wasn't bad enough, Stuart and I decide to go to the Hot Pools and bathe in the Sulphur-y goodness...

Stuart wanted to visit where the Waitangi Treaty was signed. It's a 3/4 hour drive up to Waitangi so me, Stuart, Aunty Marcia and Uncle Steve set off early doors..... not before we pick up our coffee!!! We have a tour around the treaty grounds and our guide could literally talk for hours, he knew everything - all the dates, names etc... impressive! We book in to see a Cultural Perfomance - exciting!
