I am soooo jealous of all your exciting adventures!

Looking forward to seeing photos, i'm hoping that the internet cafes of china will be more advanced than the mongolian variety, and you'll be able to conquer the technological difficulties of getting them loaded up. If you have time have a look at the photos on my facebook from bulgaria. My particular favourite is the ambulance that looks like a burn-out camper van now being used for storage, only with little blue lights on top. We decided all in all it would be good to avoid needing to use the ambulance service, which is probably a good rule in most situations...

I remember the bunk beds on the train in Russia, did you have motion sickness when you got off the train?! :-) Pickled Lenin is surreal isn't he?! Aren't the guards scary? There are rumors of a Lake Baikal monster just to let you know. Some sort or giant, mutated sturgeon (due to all the pollutants from the Lake Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill). The largest recorded sturgeon was indeed found in Russia and measured over 27 feet.

To catch it you must feed it unicorns.

Hi Jacqui, missing you loads but love to read your blog. Elena from Russia suggested some sights you might like to see tomorrow. Both of you have lots of fun on the train.1. First off all - Kremlin and Red Square. She will see the ancient churches and elements of Soviet Union (red stars on the top of towers) 2. Than I would suggest to go to The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Standing on the Red square she will see huge domes, it will takes about 15 minutes to get there by foot. The Cathedral was destroyed in 1917 by Soviet Authority and swimming pool was built on it place. 10 years ago it was again reconstructed to the Cathedral.
