I think I am in love with Krabi...the beaches are just incredibly beautiful. I was kind of expecting that, but I couldn't have imagined just how perfect. Actually stayed in a lovely hotel...for a change, finally intrepid gets something right! Turned on the Tv and got dawsons creek which made me ridiculously happy:-) Don't worry I didn't just watch tv for the whole time (there was a power cut at one point haha).
Went to this bar on the beach called the Last Fisherman, and watched the sunset..it would have been v romantic! Lovely anyway.
On our first proper day, we went on a snorkelling tour of the islands, including Ao Nang where the beach was filmed, v weird. Snorkelling was fun, the fish are fearless and swim right at you.
Night market for dinner where as usual the boys whined about havinto eat asian food! It was all ladyboys serving which was v amusing.
On our second day Sarah and I had a lazy day, as Bri was ill. Got a thai massage right on the beach and a pedicure for a few quid. I'm going to force charlie on a massage course when I get home, I would do that everyday if I could. We went on the beach for a bit of tanning afterwards and a paddle in the sea, which is literally as warm as the air.
Thankfully we made it back to the hotel before the worst storm hit I have ever seen, we even had a blackout of the hotel and the whole surrounding area for 2 hrs. Played cards by candlelight, then raced for food once the power came back..you'd think we hadn't been fed for weeks. We were honestly about to start rationing wethers originals (which I have developed an unhealthy obsession with). We leave for Malaysia in the morning!
