Hi Jo (& Lou), sorry have not been in touch sooner...as you know bin off on my own little trip (which was blooming hard work but great fun also...cant beat working on a glorious white sandy beach with a cocktail in your hand) - now back in uk; weathers crap, work sucks, tans fading - yep guess ur rite nothings changed in good ol'brum then!! Looks like ur having a fab time, very, VERY jealous!!! Photos look great - u sure you haven't bribed a local to come along and take them for ya, remember I know how cheap the slave labour is there... Am very jealous and have very itchy feet (thats cause i want to go away not cause i have fungal infection......just had to clarify). Thanks very much for bday text, did actually text you back Jo but as hadn't checked my hotmail didnt know your new No. Had a wicked day culminating in lots of drinks and 2.5hours sleep before getting up to go to hospital, not happy, but no hangover! Am out tonight also as main bday celebrations, hopefully cas and lorn are coming over the selly too. Where are you now? hope you havent got eaten by a hippo, croc or shark or one of the many other creatures in SA. Just got back from Southampton incidentally....might as well have been friggin St Lucia though!....the amount of hippo's waddlin down the main high street there was unbelievable!!....except they differ slightly in this country....can of white lightning in one hand and a bag of walkers crisps in the other, cigarette hangin' out the mouth, baby in pram, blinged up to THE MAX!!...bet YOUR hippo's can't do that...!?

It, however, HAS to be the most depressing place I think I've ever been to...tis like Wheelchair Wayne(Little Britain) and Vikki Pollard met, decided to live in Southampton and decided to breed loads of grumpy obese 'Mr T wannabe' misfits into the local genepool....'ye bat watcha sayin bout ma ya a no bat gold fool?!? I felt right at home, but of course. OI IS GINGA INIT.

ANYhow - passed my dayskipper that's the main thing. Instructer was hilarious - spoke like one of the muppets/yoda....can't work out which one though....hmmnmm, miss piggy meybeh methinks......made me work flippin hard too - was on the boat from 9 till 5, then came back each night..straight into the pool/jacuzzi(best part of the day as you can imagine - or as you're doin EVERY day ALL day!!DAMMIT!), then work(homework) from 7 till 10.15. Has been like being back at school(!) all week really. Still, nice change to the rigours of the 'Big Smoke'.

Hotel was pretty funny too - had its very own 'Basil' (little Chinese/Korean bloke...who kept bowing at me - felt like walkin' past him several times just to see how many times he'd keep bowing...reckon I cuda got 10 outta him!!'ooooh haloh saah')....and 'Mr Fawlty' who'd look very serious everywhere he went, then he'd see you and all the deep rigid wrinkles in his face would screw up as he attempted to smile excessively at you, thus exposing his plaque encrusted dentures and invoking a reaction akin to knowing a tarantula was crawling up your inner leg....felt like calling one of em over at dinner time actually, and exclaiming in a slow and deliberate voice...'WAITER, THERE'S A FLLYY IN MY SOUP'.............n wait for the..... 'BASSIIILLLLLLLL!!, yyyesss sir?(frogmarch into the kitchen) 'WHACK', 'WHACK' 'WHACK' Head round the door, nodding enthusiastically.....'won't be long Sir'......'WHACK' 'WHACK' 'WHACK'!!'Simple pleasures eh.

Tis the week of judgement for me this week(L knows what I mean). As Gandalf in LOTR puts it(with serious look and deep tone).....'forces are in motion which cannot be undone....dark is the hour'. Will let you know how it goes.

Hi everyone, I am in the Cayman Islands at the moment and it is beautiful!!! VERY HOT!! I have not got sun burnt. I have a few gigs left all of Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th. Been jet skiing today and went full speed whilst nearly weting myself when i nearly flew off......but thats another story to tell. I cannot believe that i have only 3 days left in Cayman. It seems odd that you are in Africa and i am here because we are basically at opposite ends of the world. Food is great! The beaches are to die for and especially the sunsets, i have tried to capture them in a photograph but it is never the same as being there! I hope the weather in England is not too cold......hahahahaha!!!
They are still repairing after the major hurricane that happened here..... there are still houses with nop roofs on and some houses that are completely destroyed and some that have been picked up and moved to a different part of the island. I have learnt alot about the history of the Cayman Islands but i will not bore you with the details! The house I am staying in is really nice and it has a really nice pool which i go in whenever i can, and people who know me know that the first chance of getting into water I take it!! I have taken lots of pictures so when you get back i will have a collection to show you! Anyway it is 12:10 in the morning and we are just chilling although most of us ae now going to bed. Good Night!
