Hello, loving the photos and accounts of your adventures so far... favourite piccies have to be the cakes! - scenery pretty spectacular too. Got your postcards so up on the boy's door with some others. Going on our own mini adventure next week, one car (colour unknown), one tent, 8 countries in 18 days following one well arranged plan thanks to a map, the aa online and a few carefully selected guide books - will post message after if we survive. Every day seems to bring a little sunshine and a little rain - something for everyone. Finlay can now swim a few strokes with no armbands, think squeaky beach has given him a "no fear" factor and Lachlan getting speedier. Finners sends a kiss, Lachlan a wave, James a hug -- will post again soon, love susie babe xx

Hey J...good to hear from you!
Headscarf not essential but sometimes it felt better to wear more so in Pakistan than in Iran! I would however have liked to have a kalashnikov on occasion...some of those dudes need to learn how to respect women!!!!
Are you heading to Broken Hill? Hope all went well with exams! Enjoy yer hodilays!
Postcard on the way...did I tell you my Da is heading to Oz to work? Exciting for me!Laters....Lx
Well....here I was scrolling through your photos thinking how lovely your head dress was only to realise (and correct me if I'm wrong but I swear it's you) that a scarf is far from the ultimate accessory for the ladies when in Pakistan. Nice Kalashnikov!
Anyhow, great to see all is going well. Just knocked off the last of my exams yesterday and off for a month. Had a flood in the backyard...bout a metre high and have a new tourist attraction lodged on Newy's beach courtesy of nasty weather....a coal tanker! Gonna skip the ditch and revisit the woolly wonders of down under during the holidays. Should be fun assuming I avoid hypothermia and frostbite!
Til next time

Hi all! Having probs with very slow connection in Karimabad Pakistan so have given up!
No photos until Islamabad which should be in about 3 days!
Chilling out in the mountains, enjoying the cool air before we hit 45 degrees in Lahore...oh can't wait! And yes Dave we hit the very beginning of monsoon season in India...though we only have 2 weeks there before Nepal and hopefully a little less rain and heat!
There's a bit of a tummy bug flying around the truck....so far my stomach of steel has refused to give in to it....though i have eaten nothing today!
So I shall attempt to eat some food and than hit the sack after a stroll throught the shops...nice woolen shawl I saw yesterday for a whole 300rps...about 3 pounds!
Hope all is well with ye all!

Hey Lorna,
Looking good - I'm loving the pics of the headdress and sunnies. A true contrast! Now that you've hit Iran, I'm incredibly jealous! The pics look stunning. It's always been on my hit list of places to go. Where's next? (my Geography clearly isn't good enough!)
Let me get this right though....surely you're on a collision course with the Monsoon?! It must be pretty tight timing wise! Hope everything's going well on the bus......
Bring me back some "orange flavoured smoke"
Take care,
