Day 81-82 Once back in Cairns from Port Douglas we had a few things to sort out before our 5 day PADI diving qualification on the 19th June. Day 68-80 After travelling for so long we thought we deserved a holiday. We wanted to be able to go to the beach, chillout and save money, so we headed to Port Douglas. Day 66-67 We were up at 0530 for a bus, ferry, bus, train to arrive in Cairns. We arrived about 1600 and checked into our hostel. The following day we had look around the CBD and it was boiling, unfortunately the Lagoon was being refurbished and Cairns does not have a beach so there was no where to cool off. Day 65 One of the main reasons we wanted to go to Magnetic Island was to see the wildlife. The Manager there told us that they did a Champagne Breakfast where you get to meet all the animals. Day 63-64 On the 29th May we were up at 0600 to get our train to Townsville. We had to get a bus from the train station to the marina for a ferry. The bus journey was very interesting.
