Stiil sweltering in the heat. Can't wait for a weather change. I just find it impossible to function at the moment. The housework just isn't getting done anymore. I am having Aidens brother and the wife for the weekend and I haven't even got around to making up the bed yet. I have to wait till the sun goes down to do everything and by then I am too tired so it's not happenning!!!
I think we arer promised a few more days of it at least so nothing can be done about it.
Can't believe you will be home in a little more than 2 weeks. There will be great excitement!!!
Looking forward to seeing you soon after that.
Enjoy the rmainder of the trip!!

Sounds like ye are scorched at home- pretty hot here too!! Up around 33,34 and humid!!
I was in Ho Chi Minh the last few days and heading to a home-stay tomorrow. Lots of people finished their trip yesterday so we went out and had a few drinks so the blog was delayed! Eight of us are continuing on and eight more joined us. The new group seems good! I was at the war museum today so saw lots of pics of atrocities in the Vietnam war. I'm sure ill hear lots more about it in the trip!

Hey Lady, Welcome to Nam! My holidays are over tonight. We are still basking in a heatwave of 28/ 29deg. Its fab for admiring the blue sky and brightness but a bit difficult to work in. Us Paddies are not used to these high temps. I really am not excited about working tomorrow with a uniform on in a place that has no air con. Maybe we shud work in our swimwear! That would be interesting wouldn't it? Hope Vietnam is wonderful to finish off your travels on a good note!

Hi Lorraine,
Can't cope with all the sunshine we are having this week 30 degrees today. I just can't fuction in such heat. It actually makes me feel sick and drains every bit of energy from me. people think you are a freak when you say you don't like heat but I honestly think we were never meant to be in such temperatures.
Nothing strange or stsrtling as usual. Can't wait till next Thursday because by then I should be over the worst at work. I am really looking forward to my holidays this year. Maybe old age is creeping up on me!!
Must make contact with Michelle soon again. Jenny is still in Portugal. She was due back tonight but extended her stay for a few more days. Enjoy your last two weeks of travel !!

Ye seem to be getting on well with the group. I am still on holidays so i was doing a few jobs about the house today. We had glorious sunshine today 28 or 29 degrees. Eating outside! Dympna has a lot of trouble from something like a trapped nerve in her shoulder. She has been to the Dr about four times in a week trying to get relief from the pain. Anti inflammatories were making her sick so they are trying to get a painkiller to suit but she is suffering a lot with it. Its horrible not to be feeling well in such hot weather.
Our u14 girls beat Claregalway in the league final this evening. It was a good win. Only 4pts in it in the end.
Dad went to the bog for a while after work. You are missing that, but I,d say it will be just about ready to come home in about three weeks! Enjoy your last few weeks.Take care.

Enjoyed a big long read as I have been very busy all week and didn't get a chance to catch up. You can guess what impressed me most? Of course it was the angels. I am looking forward to telling Noel tomorrow. He will be delighted with you and yes I have no doubt they are good on dodgy tummies too !!!Just ask for their help. It is very very hot here today so I am like a dog going around looking for shade all day !
Jenny went to Portugal on Thursday last until Wednesday-you know the way she heads off to that Surf& Yoga place every once in a while. She loves it and people tend to go there on their own so she makes lots of new friends.
Claire will be 17 weeks pregnant tomorrow so thank God all seems well so far. Herself and Dave were at a wedding on Friday-a friend of Dave's from college.
Stuart is settling down a bit in spite of himself. I suppose it's about time considering he will be 28 next month!!!!
No more news really. Vry tired and looking forward to a break. Enjoy the remainder of your trip. Keep in touch with your angels. They are always there for you !!!
Mam
I hope the angels are still working for you and we will ask them all to improve the dodgy tummy! Sounds like you are enjoying this trip apart from the food and the tummy. Be careful anyway and be sure to drink plenty of good water. We are heading home now in the morning. All went well except nobody sits in pubs!!!

Had a very informative but strange day at the Killing fields today- millions of people killed and mass graves- was very sombre. Very long blog to come!! I've other days written but wifi just isn't great for uploading them. Will have them all soon.

Long day today looking at temples- really cool though! No time to write the blog properly yet! Have fun decoding my notes!

No doubt you will burn out this camera too. You are like dad with the chain saw, you and the camera. All going well in alicante. Did the bus tour today and visited Santa Barbara castle. Great views from there. Went to the town for a while and came back then to the pool here at hotel. We will get changed now and go for grub somewhere. We sent all day yest at beach and really took the day off. Hardest. working was shifting the sunbed under the parasol as the sun moved. Life's tough at times! Hope you enjoy your comrades on the trip. Take care.

We spent all day today travelling to Siam Reap. We left at 6:44 so nice early start! The bus journey was grand and the border crossing was fine! We got here around 4 but then had an hour or two to settle in and have a nap or sort ourselves for the morning. We went for dinner all together at 6 then and weren't back until 10. I dropped my camera, in its case on the ground before we went for dinner and it was making a buzzing noise and wasn't taking a photo so I think whatever damage the sand had done, dropping it just sent it over the edge! Lots of people had to change Thai money to US or Cambodian before we went for dinner and there was a camera shop across the road so I went to look and ended up buying one because when she saw I wasn't sure about whether I'd get it or not she kept putting down the price. I got the camera and the memory card for €99 euro. I took some photos at dinner and thought it was a bit blurry and wondered what they had sold me! But then I fixed up the settings and it wa pretty okay. It's not as good as the one I had, but it's better than just using the iPhone or having no camera. So I had to buy it! We go to the most important place in Cambodia tomorrow and we leave at 4am so I couldn't go to that site, Angkor Wat, without a camera!! Hopefully this one survives!

Good to hear that Ann-Marie has arrived. I presume she will be with you now for the remainder of your journey? I met up with Shell yesterday for lunch to, give her a break from correcting. We went to Fitzpatricks(out her direction) and it was very enjoyable. I love being able to link up every few weeks for a chat. She is in great form. Can't wait for this month to be over! Talk soon.
