After Brisbane came the famous Surfers Paradise. Here we stayed for three nights. We spent a couple of days on the beach and also celebrated St. Patricks day here.
Next, Byron Bay. Again we stayed here for three night. Here we hiked to the most easterly point of Australias main land. The views were spectacular! we saw birds of prey, dolphins and turtles. We also spent a couple of days on the beach. there were two beaches here, one was called Main beach and the other the wreck beach. It was called the wreck beach as it had a large ship wreck poking out of the water about 200 yards from shore.
After Byron Bay we headed to Coffs harbour. Here we just had a couple of quiet days on the beach.
Port Macquarie. All I can say is thank goodness we rested in coffs harbour. We hired bicycles to sight see around port Macquarie. Granted we saw alot, but boy were we sore the next day! did we mention how many hills there were in port Macquarie. We saw flyns beach, the town beach, a koala reserve were they look after injured Koalas and release them back into the wild. In the evening we had a BBQ, if we do say ourselves we think this was our best so far.
Last stop before sydney was a day in Newcastle. This was an old convict city, its the sixth largest city in Australia. This was another day of sight seeing. We saw the first outdoor swimming pool in Australia, we saw a couple more beaches and we got a free meal, free!!!!!
SYDNEY HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
