Hello from Ho Chi Ming/Saigon!! We have spent the last few days here and tonight we get on a train two days and one night going up to Hanoi. For the first time so far we are annoyed we don't have more time to stop on the way there but hey it means we have a reason to come back to Vietnam some other time. And that we get to spend more time with Mrs. Tang. All is good.
Phnom Penh highlights:
Our hotel in Phnom Penh with a great living area overlooking the lake, the food they cooked and Uxio being an extra in a CAMBODIAN FILM!!!! Look out for 'Because I love you' from some Cambodian film director. Or to make it easier I recorded the scene at the same time: some foreigners sit in a bar and a Cambodian man sells them drugs...we hope it is a film and not some propaganda about how corrupt foreigners are!
The rats who kept us awake running around the roof of our hut and screaming when the storm caught them in there.
Spending time with Nick, Ignacio and Pablo. We now miss Nick who stayed in Cambodia.
A coconut just missing Uxio's head and then opening it himself to drink and eat it. I was very proud of him!
Being very lazy and Phnom Penh being small enough to allow that.
Saigon highlights:
Lola having to be nanny for the boy from the seats behind during practically the whole trip on the bus between Phnom Penh and Saigon (6 hours). When the dad tried to take him back he cried and jumped straight back over.
Bargaining in Saigon which seems much more like a poker game than in previous countries.People and fun nights out, yummy food, lots of fruit shakes and some touristy bits during the day. T
he crapiest tour ever on a bus to get on a boat to walk around an island looking at tourist overpriced stalls, eat some fruit, drink some water with honey, a couple of random rowing boats down jungly bits, boat, bus all with a very chatty guide who was impossible to understand.
Favourite Highlight:
As always all the messages we get in the blog and hearing from all of you!!! We seriously get so over excited with every new message and completely luuurrrrvvvveeeee our blog. It makes us laugh out loud.
A ver quien encuentra 'Because I love you' de algun director de Cambodia.
