Hi! Just arrived in Sydney after a long unnecessary trip from Coffs to Brisbane to take a plane that would have cost us $400 just to cancel! Weird stuff this round the world tickets. Anyway, a rainy afternoon has given us the perfect excuse to get up to date with our emails and of course the blog.

We have just had a brilliant week with Alethea and Keiran and miss them already. Here it goes:

Coff's Harbour highlights:

Just spending time with the special couple themselves. Catching up, chilling out, getting taken to amazing spots, lots of yummy home made cooking, Tim Tams and some beers... many beers. All of this we got to do between Alethea and Keiran's sweet house near Coffs and Uncle Byron's gorgeous house in the bush near Grafton. Thanks again Uncle Byron and Aunty Chrissie!

Meeting, even if briefly, uncle Byron and auntie Chrissie, Tony, Bonny, Dionne (sorry forgot right spelling!) and Marie Ellen and of course Molly and Tipsy (or Mouly and Gipsy as Uxio called them). We have heard so much about all of them in the past and now we can put all those friendly faces to the people we felt like we already knew!

Day out fishing and Uxio developing his special way by running up the hill with the fishing line rather than pulling it out. Keiran being a very patient teacher.

Getting into the Australian life playing pokies, raffles, lottery and whatever is going... and winning!!! The Jackpots of the week were Althea's $50 on 'Where's the gold?' Lola's $20 on the 'Big Ben' pokies machine, Lola's $15 voucher for Chinese food from a raffle and Alethea's tray of meat from another raffle. Well done to the girls!

Byron Bay and the beautiful drive up there although I couldn't help falling asleep right at the last minute. I was awake to see the big prawn on the way there though!

Getting kissed by the seals and the sweet rubbery dolphins. Watching Rockie the baby seal play just like a puppy.

Bellingen market, the 'shaolin' massage we had there and going up to Dorrigo.

Seeing possums, kangaroos, listening to the butcherbird and singing back to him, getting to feed the cows at Keiran's parents. In general having bush and animals around to surprise us.

Hola! Acabamos de llegar a Sydney despues de un largo viaje inecesario. Fuimos de Coffs Harbour a Brisbane para coger un avion que nos hubiese costado $400 cancelar. Lo nunca visto! Estos billetes dando la vuelta al mundo tienen reglas muy raras a veces. Pero aqui estamos y aprovechando una tarde lluviosa hemos decidido ponernos al dia con emails y por supuesto con el blog.

Hemos acabado una semana alucinante con Alethea y Keiran y ya les echamos de menos. Ahi va eso:

Mejores momentos de Coffs Harbour:

Simplemente estar con Alethea y Keiran. Charlar, descansar, ir de escursion a sitios preciosos, comiditas caseras, Tim Tams y alguna cerveza...bastantes cervezas. Todo esto lo hicimos entre la casita de Alethea y Keiran en Coffs Harbour y la casa de sus tios Byron y Chrissie cerca de Grafton. Muchas gracias al tio Byron y a la tia Chrissie!!C

onocer por fin al tio Byron, la tia Chrissie, Tony, Bonny, Dionne, Marie Ellen y por supuesto a Molly y Tipsy (o Mouly y Gipsy que las llama Uxio). Hemos oido hablar tanto de toda esa gente y las gatas que nos gusto por fin poner esas caras tan simpaticas a la gente que ya parecia que conociamos.

Pasar el dia pescando y Uxio desarrollo su propio estilo que consiste en salir corriendo cuesta arriba cuando pica un pez en vez de recoger el hilo con las manos. Keiran fue un professor muy paciente.

Nos metimos en la vida Australiana jugando a las tragaperras, sorteos, rifas, bingos y lo que nos echen... y ganamos!! Los mejores premios de la semana han sido los $50 de Alethea en la tragaperras 'donde esta el oro?' y $20 de Lola en 'Big Ben'. Lola tambien gano $15 de comida china en una rifa y Alethea una bandeja de carne en otra. Menos mal que estabamos las chicas para recuperar lo que perdian ellos!

Byron Bay y el viaje en coche hasta alli con vistas preciosas. Por desgracia me dormi justo al final en la parte mas bonita pero estaba bien despierta para ver la gamba gigante!!

Los besos de las focas y los delfines. Ver a la foquita Rockie jugar igual que un cachorro de perro.

El Mercado de Bellingen y el masaje 'shaolin' que nos dimos. Despues fuimos a ver el parque natural de Dorrigo.

Ver kanguros, possums, escuchar al pajaro carnicero y contestarle silbando, darle de comer a las vacas de los padres de Keiran y en general estar rodeados de campo y animales para sorprendernos.
