Road trip day 1
We were heading for Northern France; Signey Le Petit to be precise to revisit a bakers where the pain aux cereal had been built up as legendary over a few years.
We got on the road & on stopping at services for a toilet break we decided to make sure we were on the right road!!
The sat nav in the car tried to take us back to Calais so after a few miles we stopped & programmed our own sat nav - good idea as it turned out!
S Le P was a lot further than we remembered - around 174 Miles (total mileage 448).
We stopped at a bar in Hirson for a quick beer then carried onwards
Disaster, there was no bread left in our bakers ... we bought Easter chocolate pralines flavoured with violet instead! We had a quick look around then left
It was another 7 mikes to La Girondelle for our overnight stop ....
