It was great that Ireland were touring while we were here. We had got our tickets back in February so we had been looking forward to it for a while!!

We took half days from work and drove down to New Plymouth. It took 4 hours to get down so once we arrived we checked in and went out to meet our friends for dinner. We all went out on the Friday night and it was a great laugh. There were so many Irish around!!

On the Saturday we could not do much as the weather was awful. Once it cleared up we went downtown and got in to the atmosphere. We headed out to the stadium about an hour before kick off so we could have a drink there. The atmosphere at the ground was great.

Unfortunately the match itself was a disaster!! After the match we just went home as we were tired from the night before and had no reason to celebrate after what we had just watched!!

THe next day we got up and got straight on the road for home. Thankfully the weather was nice and the drive was really nice. Hard to believe the match we had been waiting so long for was over and it was back to work!!
