I like your towel art! Too much time, methinks!!! Happy Birthday for tomorrow!

Hmmmm - this 3Ms of Africa thing is really tough going - currently sitting on our veranda in Mauritius. Liz hasn't confessed yet but I am wondering whether it's been this level of luxury all along with a few photos of other people's more rustic living thrown in. Ask yourselves, how many photos have you seen of Liz in these so called tents and huts??
Either way I can now independently verify that our intrepid traveller is doing very well and it was lovely to be met by a friendly face at the airport.
All this typing has made me tired - will leave the blogging to Liz and get back to my snooze!
Gus
Must cinfess I was a little distirbed at the picture of your dining companion - I thought it was a snake, but then expanded the picture and saw that it was only a lizard - phewwwwwwwww! Mind you - I think there are more snakes than lizards in Mauritius - so BEWARE!, and always check under the sheets before you go to bed.
It certainly seems as if your french is coming along - without you realising it! Would be interesting to have a weekend in France when you get back and see how much you really have developed - nil points or dix points??
Come ci come ca.
It amazes me that given where you are that you are continually managing to keep connected - iphone, ipad, board meetings, wifi, phones - are you sure you really have left the country and are not just camping out at London Zoo and Aquarium?
It all sounds stunning - and I'm in awe of your adventure - keep smiling ;-)
Kath
Sounds like you will have some great memories of dives and a skill that will stay with you - enjoy your last few days! I showed your dining companion to mum - beautiful yet disturbing! Mum not so keen! Hope you enjoy your last few days of the second 'M' - I am now on my 'one more week of work' count down and looking forward to meeting you at the third.

Hmmm - I'd like to know when was the last time Angus bought a drink at the bar for a stranger (or a friend for that matter) or indeed knitted a scarf - hopefully the advise is backed up by real life experience?!
Now speaking of roughing it - our hotel in Mauritius has double booked our last night and so I have agreed they can move us out out of the beachfront room to a smaller one in return for a cheaper price, a lunch and massage each. I do hope you've found your inner self by then cos here'll be no chance once i'm there although i can't imagine anything you have done so far comparing to such a traumatic experience as that one will be.........
Really looking forward to seeing you in 2 weeks!
Gus
ello ello ello - cor blimey guv'nor you have been busy since my last check-in! All sounds fab and very inspiring - now for a few extras on your 'tick' list: buy a drink at the bar for a complete stranger (dead cert to meet someone!); knit a scarf (keeps ur fingers nimble); write a blog (oops, already doing that); paint a picture (then you can put it on your blog); spear a fish!
Not long now til it's all over and you're back home - so please, please, please continue to enjoy it - have you found your inner self yet? And remember - keeeeeeeeeep smiling ;-)
