Up with the sunrise - and an early morning mist. Showered on board followed by breakfast of blueberry pancakes before setting off. Final destination set as Presque Isle State Park PA. Decided to avoid all toll roads today and fancied a detour along the peninsular to see Catawba. Samantha didn't like us going off piste but we found our way around - and an ACE hardware to boot. ( Toilet chemicals duly purchased). Lots of water all around use - rivers, Creeks and lakes. Followed the Lake Erie Cycle along Route 6 until we got to Cleveland having stopped along the way for a farm shop - obligatory corn on the cob purchased, and a lake site view for our sandwich at lunch time. On to I-90 into PA. Erie seems to be the only town of any note in this part of the state. Kept heading north and found Sara's campground reasonably easily - the research paid off!. Unfortunately finding the office proved a little harder…… Finally checked in to a cramped site and realised that only a few are sites are held for overnight campers. The majority are for 'seasonal' bookings. A nice walk along the lakeside beach, around a small section of the cycleway and back for sweet corn, chill topped off with strawberries and ice cream.
