Well here I am... I'm now in Sydney. Completed my first long haul flight and caught the free shuttle bus to the hostel. Not too much to say really as I haven't done anything yet, except eat plane food and watch films on the plane!!! Loving the Virgin Atlantic flying experience, lots of food and drinks, free travel kit and an endless list of entertainment options on my own screen! Sound a little excited, but never done it before so enjoyed completing that first hurdle. Leaving mom at the airport was horrible, and didn't stop crying for about 2 hours but all good now, I'm already getting the impression that 2 months will fly by.

It's going to be a challenge to stay awake now, but i think I'm going to go for a walk and tire myself out and then I'll sleep through the night hopefully. The hostel seems really nice, aparently a lot of people are here long term and are travelling workers, but everyone seems friendly and my bed is comfy! Top bunk, yay!!! Weather is already 30 degrees and its only around midday, some sort of mini heat wave apparently that will be followed by some mega thunder storms, brilliant! I'm happy with the sunshine for now though! Right, I'm off, let's see what I can find on my first adventure in Sydney, maybe I'll have some of my own photos to put on next time...
