Rog And Di
Hi there intrepid travellers! Down at the bottom of the world eh? - quite an experience. No call for a gardener and a teacher on the Falklands? "Don't mention the war!!" Great to follow your travels
We're OK. Di tired though - she's busy with her mum and dad - her mum having to go into a home any day sadly.(She'sonly 45 but we need the room for a snooker table!!!) Grandad Fearnie on cloud nine after his first very successful cataract op - he says its fantastic to see clearly again (After his second eye op in few weeks he can go back to his little telly and me and Di can pinch the 50 inch!!!)
We'll have to get your mum over here for you to webcam on Skype sometime.
Look after yourselves. God bless.
Rog & Di xx

Hi guys!
A belated very Happy New Year to you both! How did you celebrate? J & I had a quiet one - thankfully! - as Christmas was busy, busy. Back to work proper tomorrow - can't believe that just 11 more weeks of teaching and that's it...for a year at least but maybe forever if it all goes a bit whatsits-up with the new employers...
Oohh! Before I forget, Chris and Lucy had a BIG baby boy (9lbs 10oz) on Christmas Day, called Oliver. Lucy ended up having a C-section, bless her, but all seems to be well. Met up with Catherine and Linds at our usual haunt for a spot of lunch over the festive period. Cath's going great guns and looking every inch the gal about town and Linds and Paul were fresh from celebrating their 2 (!) year wedding anniversary.
As I write, Isabella is up to her elbows in paint and glitter, making 'Thankyou' cards for all her Christamas presents - quite an operation given the vast quantites of gifts she received! Jonathan is out doing a 'short' run of 8 miles ..not the words I would use to describe the distance, no...car journey would be my take...
Anyhoo, best love to you both and may 2007 bring you both continued adventure!

Happy Xmas and Happy New Year to you too! Great to see such good photos which have brought lots of memories back for me - so weird to see you standing in some of the same spots I stood in almost exactly 10 years ago and in so many more that I've never seen before. Keep enjoying it and posting the pics - certainly brightens up the cold days here. It's a usual first day back at the LC with only a handful of people here and the building so cold that I'm typing in my coat and scarf. Stay there! :-)

Hallo you two!!!! God it's been yonks since I've said hi to you both. Argentina sounds fab - friends of ours here Pablo and Marcella have just gone home to Cordoba for Xmas and it made me think how close you were to them and how Court and I would love to see it (and you of course!!) for ourselves. Pablo keeps telling Court to buy property in Cordoba ....och one day!! Have your travels there given you any ideas?!!
Court and I are good here in an actual semi rainy Dubai would you believe! The folks arrive here soon with Olly-Pooh and I've told them to bring a brolly between them. It will lovely to see them for Xmas but I'm not sure our surroundings will match where you guys are planning on staying!
After they leave we have an Aussie contingent arriving for New Year's so it'll be a fun New Year this Year. When are we going to have New Year's together though? Some year soon - inshall'ah!
Anyway, just wanted to say have a fab Xmas and Happy New year inadvance to you both. Linds send us that mobile number - so we can give you a ring sometime.
Love you heaps, Ash and Court xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Halloo you two!
I know! It's been an age since I last left a message! Hopeless! What's been happening? Well, Jonathan's still running like a thing possessed, averaging 25-30 miles a week. Am v. proud of all this but mightily concerned that we are going to meet in the middle in terms of how much we weigh! Just heading into my sixth month and all is well with the babe. Got long legs, apparently. Well, that's the excuse I'm using for my astonishing girth, anyway! Isabella thinks there is a serious design fault with my tummy - why, she asks, can she not see the baby directly through my belly button? "It would be a great idea!" She's got a point, I suppose...
Met up with Catherine at the end of Nov. with Linds and, guess who we bumped in to at Cafe Royal? No other than our girl Gemma, having a sneaky Chrimbo shopping w/end! What a bonus! We missed you though, girl! Catherine looked good and said she was enjoying London but surrounded by luvvies. Linds has since finished her DELTA and, as I write, is wending her way to Prague with Paul. Did you know that Amanda finally decided to move to Scotland? After a holiday in South Africa, she takes up her post at Abertay in Jan. Wise decision, too, as we have been 'INTO'd' at Newcastle and they are working towards a transfer date as early as the end of Jan. All a bit s***, really. So, any suggestions on a career change would be most welcome! Oh! Almost forgot! Chris and Lucy's baby was due yesterday but no word as yet. He's been beside himself, the poppet!
On brighter things.. off to Cambridge for a big family Christmas at the end of the week: hoorah! Hoping to get a chance to put my feet up and be royally spoilt. Mmmm....
Love you loads and hope you have a magical Christmas! When does your mum arrive?
Best love,
Donnaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Haha, finally, I found it. Thank you, Lindsay. : ) Your travel looks so amazing. And the world where you are is completely different from ours. It's so windy and rainy here. I wish one day I could travel around the world just as you. By the way, what's the brand of the camera you use? The photos look very nice. I know it's also because you're good at taking photos. Enjoy! Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year! :)

Hi Linds and Simon!
Sounds like you're having an amazing time. South America looks incredible, so varied. (Not that Sheffield doesn't compare of course!! Hmmmm!) We're fine, looking forward to Christmas, but not enjoying the cold weather. Last time I saw you guys I think it was about 35 celcius, and I think we were complaining it was too hot! If only...!
Anyway, can't wait to see you soon, keep enjoying your travels :)
Take care, Love Jen x x x
P.S. You might not know, but I've finally started training as a paramedic. Hurrah! It's lots of fun. Byeeeeeeee x x x
