My 4 day stay in Queenstown has been great. A few people from my bus are staying there a few months and getting jobs and people you know from earlier on arrive so it's just like a huge reunion! Spent the whole of today in and around Milford sound which was nice. We got to a tunnel and the light remained red for ages, our driver got out and apparently there had been a rock slide the other side and no one knew if we could get through.....so our driver decided to try! We were all looking at eachother sideways but when we came out the other side there was just a lot of dust in the air and no rocks so obviously nothing major.. We got on the boat and instead...

On the way to Te Anau we had a farm stop. We got to feed the lambs, watch the dogs herding the sheep, drive a quad bike and (wait for it...) shear a sheep!!! My sheep (of course!) freaked out after I'd sheared about an inch and I then (of course) freaked out and thought I was hurting it so gave up. We left Dunedin bright and early and headed to the Caitlins. We spent the day wandering round beaches with sealions just dozing everywhere, saw more penguins and went to a fossilised forest which was crazy! It just looks like a beach of rocks where as when you get up close, they're all fossilised tree stumps - you can see the tree rings and everything (my inner geek loved this!). Had a night in Queenstown last night as a stop over before the 'Bottom Bus'. The place is gorgeous and the weather was good so looking forward to getting back there as it's the party and adrenalin capital of new zealand!
