Our last place in NZ! :-( We have had 3 full days here, on the 1st we went for a trip to Kaikoura to go whale watching. I don;t usually get sea sick but I very nearly spewed a few times on the boat! We went over the massive ocean canyon where the depth suddenly drops for a couple of hundred metres to 9 hundred odd! We saw some whales! Well our trip to Dunedin was the best! The woman bus driver was amazing! We had to stop after 30mins as she needed a crap! Then she stopped off home to get a cool box along the way. She also did an on coach quiz and sang some of the Australian National Anthem!!!! Dunedin is all Scottish and is where the Otago Uni is so full of students, it also has the worl's steepest Street! Well on the way to Queenstown we stopped off at a salmon farm and fed the salmon- never realised how big they were! The coach also wouldn't start, eventually the driver got it going and we drove the final hr with the back open so the engine could cool off!! Our 1st day we went on a 12hr trip to Milford Sound- we had to go through the Homer Tunnel, and saw lots of birds that are like Kiwis but aren't and I can't remember their names eating peoples car window wipe...

Wanaka is a little town on the way to Queenstown and I'm very glad we stopped here. The scenery is amazing and we've spent the morning on the beach of the lake looking at the mountains. We're staying in an ok hostel sharing with 2 others, a Japanese girl (who screamed and jumped up and down with delight when I told her we'd seen cherry blossom in Japan) and a German boy.
