It was a wonderful day today. I had to get up early since my tour left at 7 am to the Mayan ruins at Tikal. The Guatemalan border is very close to the resort so it was only a 5 minute drive there and about 15 minutes to exit B Elise then enter Guatemala. Another great day in Belize. It was quite cool here this morning. . . Only 63F. OK I know that's not cool for most of you in the winter but it did feel cool to us. It was a clear morning, which is very nice here, there was a nice mist over the river. Two more couples arrived at the resort yesterday, so we split into 2 groups for our adventure today. Wonderful day today. We started with a great breakfast; all the meals have been wonderful at the resort. Then we took off to some Mayan ruins at Cahal Pech. It was interesting to hear of the history of the site. After we came back to the resort for lunch and then some of us took the boat back across the river to walk around Benque Viejo del Carmen. Made it to Belize safe and sound. It was smooth going through customs and getting baggage. The resort sent a driver to pick me up, and it was a nice 2 hour drive to Benque Viejo and across the Mopan River to the resort. So here I am in front of my home for the next few days, a cabana at the resort!

Made it to the Houston airport and check in was smooth. Enjoying the comforts of the Continental lounge. Flight looks to be on time. Belize here I come!
