We left Munich to head to the chalet in the swiss alps by 8.30am and headed towards the tiny country of Lichtenstein. It was a country that only had about 35,000 people in it. We stopped in it's capital; Vaduz, for lunch and posted some letters. We also paid to get a stamp from there in our passports. From here we moved from Germany to Switzerland and stopped in Lucerne. Steve first walked us to the lion monument carved into a rock mountain which was made to commemorate the swiss guards who were massacred in the French Revolution who died defending their king who had fled and wasn't even in the building at the time (though they didn't know that). Was a really nice and big sculpture. We also got some swiss chocolate from here that was awesome. Steve then took us to a place that made swiss army knives so we could buy one of these if we wanted to. We had some time to buy a costume for the swissco party also before we went and sat by the Ruess river and looked at the ducks and swans. We went back to the bus then before continuing out drive to the chalet in Lauterbrunnen. The chalet was beautiful and we were right in the valley below the mountains and next to a little river. We went across the river to buy some lunch for on the mountain the next day and get some money out. Their money was so bright and pretty! Then I watched a movie with Pete before going to bed early.
