So day 5. 3 become 2 as Beng and his bike get towed away in a recovery vehicle. Put in a big push today (a cheeky 105 miles) so can stay at mum and dads tomorrow :-) went through the delights of Leominster, Much Wenlock (where we spent an hour sat on the grass verge opposite a service station... The low point of the day). Got mission control aka Rachel aka Tom's girlfriend To find us a b&b. Happened to be in stone. Meaning a 35 mile slog from the grass verge...

So today we have done 100 miles, Devon (and a little bit of Somerset), several 20+ percent hills, several thousand meters of climbing, reached a top speed of 46.4mph, bankrupt an all you can eat Indian. Character building times... Quote of the day... Phil, "what type of bird is that?" Tom, "it's a plane."

Bude in rain. So ben fell off his bike earlier fortunately he was going approximately zero miles an hour and there wasn't a car in sight. The joys of seeing someone else clipped in forget and fall over are quite special. Had a bit of a sense of humour failure coming up a massive 25% hill out of boscastle... Tom... "you know there are a lot of witches in boscastle" Phil... "I'm not talking up this f***** hill"

So day 2. Got an early night after having a pretty massive meal. Topped off with a big slab of vienetta. Slept on a top bunk last night in a room of severn was pretty average. So today heading towards west wood ho... (giggles at ho!) just setting off now.

30 miles down... Several large hills... Spoke with several people who had just finished. One guy was blind had done it on a tandem with his mate and run a marathon every day. Took him 10 days!!! Amazing. Just had chips in St. Ives :-)
