The last few days have seen blue skies and hot sun. Today that all changed- full cloud cover and blustery winds to start the day. Just noticed my geocaching travel bug t-shirt has travelled almost 100,000 miles. I log it in caches on my travels since I bought it at the Cumbrian Cartmel Mega in 2012 (I think) So tomorrow is the big 100k mile day! All I need is 90.01 more miles

Finally today I drove to Santa Rosa on the old Route 66 to bed down at the RV site there. Not before trying the 'Country style Chicken Fried Steak' at Joseph's Bar and Grill a traditionally quaint American Diner.

Travelling today I ran over a skunk. I think it was already dead and the sweet sickly odour could be 'tasted' for a while. As I drove over some hills I switched my watch to altimeter mode to check what height I was surmounting. The highest I noticed was 2050metres which is over a mile high.later as I checked the time, I saw I was 1700 metres above sea level at 17:00 hours exactly. Scary coincidence
