Greetings!!!! Well it has been an eventful couple of days in Bangkok. I arrived on the infamous Khoa San Road at about 8 in the evening after a really long winded bus trip from the airport! Lets just say thank god for some kind of air conditioning!!!! If you lot think London and places like that are bad for traffic that you are very mistaken!!!! Bangkok is WORSE! Not only does it take an awful long time its irratic aswell!! Lol

Well what can i say about Khoa San Road!!!! Blimey!! Its backpackers paradise!!! Beer everywhere, food everywhere, cheap hostels everywhere!!!!! Oh and alot of backpackers! Lol. So with my backpack on i had to find somewhere to stay!! Not easy when it is boiling hot and you have the most heaviest backpack on! All the hostels are cheap but everywhere we wanted to stay was booked up, and you know me i didnt have the patience so in the end dumped my bags in the first available hostel................ BIG mistake. The place was basic and disgusting. (Whast can you say when it only cost me 240 baht which works out to be 4 pound). Beacuse the place was horrid we decided that we would try and stay out as long as possible which proved to be easy as the beer doesnt stop floowing at all over here! We went for something to eat in a nice little bar. I had masaman curry!!! Hmmmmmmm Ended up going to bed about 4 in the morning with quite a few beers in my belly!!! Had a bit of a sore head in the morning.

First thing in the morning i checdked into a much nicer hostel. Has a nice bed, air con and its own bathroom!!! Thank god! Decided we would have a look at some of the local temples, so jumpoed on a Tuk Tuk (lets just say a little tin can with no belts that a crazy thai man drives at about 60 miles an hour down a tiny little street. Not for the faint hearted). The temples were lovely. The standing buddha was sucha sight and the bulidings have such lovely details!!! Definatly worthj coming to see. Then headed to Pat Pong night market!!!!! wow!!! Everything you could want all in one tiny little strip. Clothes, shoes, bags everything!!!! Oh the only problem is you will be askedevery two minutes if you want to go and see the Ping Pong show!!!!!!!!!! Lots of sex shows!!! And most of them were lady boys!!!! Bought a couple of things but am trying to control myself.

Am leaving bangkok in the next hour to go to Phuket. Only thing is im not looking forward to the 14 hour bus ride there. Oh well the bus doesnt look tooooooooo bad!!! Will try to sleep as much as possible!!!
