hey everyone! so i am in Kiakoura..... its three hours north of Christchurch on the south island! I just went whale watching and i am so tired so i will make this quick! so first ill tell you when Kiakoura in moari means......simply it mean food for Crayfish...... Kia means food and koura means crayfish! pretty cool!! so when i was whale watching....we saw three sperm whales which is two more then most boats! hahah i must have been lucky.... sperm whales are so ugly!!! the first one we saw was named something like tiaka or something which in moari it ment gaurdian! and he is the biggest of the three we saw...all the ones we saw have been in the area for like ten years at least! the second one we saw was named manu and in moari it means Bird....which is cause his tail had the sillouet of a bird! Manu was the smallest of the whales! the last whale was named tono which in moari just translates to tony!hahah he doesnt get a cool one! sperm whales heads take up one third of there body......so they look like mowgli!!! hahah just kidding mowgli's head is bigger! then we went looking for some more stuff and we ran into about 250 dusty dolphins but right when i got to go and take a picture of them my camera died! just my luck right! they were so cute!!! they were doing flips and showing off and just rubbing it in my face that i didnt have a camera....i couldnt even get one picture! but this girl andrea who was with me she said she will put them on facebook for me! so i hope i can get them....they were soooo cool! so that was my time in kiakoura cause i have to get up and go to wellington tomorrow!
