After 5 days in Western Australia, we decided we really should see some of Perth! We found a walking tour in our guidebook, so we decided to go for a wander around the city. After a horrible nights sleep (it felt like a sauna in our top bunks - the fans on the floor didn't reach us!), we were both looking forward to checking out! We both woke up early, so got up and made breakfast while the place was quite quiet. Then we dragged our bags into the hallway to pack there where it was slightly cooler and less smelly. This morning we checked out of our double room and headed for Perth station to catch the train to Fremantle where we planned to spend the next 3 nights…things turned out differently when we eventually arrived! We got to the hostel early and were told we could check-in in about an hour, so we left our bags and had a wander around the 'Cappucino Strip' in Fremantle, stopping for a coffee along the way. So far, so good, until we checked in and headed to our room!...

Another lazy and cheap day for us today. We slept in a bit, then in the afternoon ventured out to McDonald's for a McFlurry and to use the free wifi. We started looking for somewhere to stay in Bali next week; we think we might splash out and spend £20 a night for somewhere luxurious for our first few days! This morning we had to get up and check-in as we arrived too late last night. The friendly guy behind the desk directed us to Coles supermarket, so we headed there for some shopping. We're planning on doing very little over the next few days to try and save some money, before heading to Asia in just over a week!
