From Newport, we drove into Boston. We parked our car at the Prudential Center. Yes, there was the mini van with 120,000+ miles parked amond the finest of automobiles - including Ferraris and Lamborginis!
After ditching the car, we took the T (subway) to Fanueil Hall for some dinner. I couldn't resist the opportunity to grab some Greek food! We met some wonderful Brittish tourists while we ate! Then we took the T to the Symphony Hall. Eleanor and Mom met some tourists from Colombia and Charlie met a nice lady and talked books with her. We got to the Symphony and got to our seats. Since the last time I purchased seats for an event was for a movie that we viewed looking straight up at - not so good - I asked Scott to order our tickets. Our seats were FABULOUS!
Our concert featured the Boston Pops and the music from the Pixar films! While the Pops played, silent clips of the movies showed on a giant screen. It was an absolutely incredible concert. I had tears in my eyes it was such an incredible evening. The ONLY thing that could have made the night perfect would have been Scott and my dad being there to enjoy the evening. Eleanor loved visiting the Symphony store at intermission. She had an envelope of spending money that she enjoyed spending in the store. The evening was certainly a highlight. By the time we took the subway, got back to the car and then to the hotel, it was 12:30 am. We all fell into bed with sweet dreams of Pixar movies dancing in our heads : )
Wednesday starts our descent home with crazy I-95 South! We plan to detour in New Haven with a driving tour of Yale.
