This is where the nun's who followed St. Bridget lived. Bridget actually started as a pagan goddess who the Catholics co-oped to be a saint. She is the saint of light and fire so the nuns kept and eternal fire buring in this place where I am standing. They kept it alive for over a millenia until the Protestants took over and made them extinquish it. Because this is a site sacred to Bridget and women, only women can enter the area within the walls.
