Had a chilled out day before starting work at 5 at Hooked. I only saw one child dressed up for Halloween; she was dressed as a cat. (I'm writing this a week on because I haven't had the chance to before now, so I can't remember much detail from today).

I have been in the Chapel Street Hooked for a few times now, and so coming back to the Brunswick Street store was a bit disorientating- I'd forgotten where everything was and what I had to do to open the restaurant. I got up and got the tram to the CBD, so I could do the first walk of the recommended walks I picked up at the tourist information centre. I started off visiting St Paul's Anglican Cathedral, and then went up Hosier Lane which had some pretty cool street art. There was an artist painting one, but it looked pretty grey and boring. A lady got very grumpy at Hooked today as she didn't understand that you pay $2 extra with the lunchbox special to get salad instead of chips, and not as well as. She thought I had ripped her off, and wouldn't let it go. She also paid by using a lot of change which meant cashing up was difficult as I had to count loads of 10 cents and 20 cents coins. My evening off was spent watching TV, and sharing red wine and cheese with the Frenchies.

We went for a birthday lunch at 'Lentils as Anything' in St. Kilda. This is quite a famous restaurant because this is the one where you pay for however much you think your meal is worth. Me and Alice both had the potato and pea curry, and Amanda had the potato pakora things, on the waiter's advice, although she didn't realise quite how small they were.
