We had to get up quite early today to catch the bus at 7.35 to go to Milford Sounds. We stopped off at a couple of places on the way in Fiordland, like a couple of watering holes and waterfalls, and then got our boat cruise. Our tour included a packed lunch so the first part of the cruise I was more interested in consuming that- ham sandwich, cheese and crackers, cookies and an Orange and a kiwi fruit. Once that was out the way, I tried to be a bit more interested in looking at everything, but unfortunately it wasn't that great weather and so it didn't look as pretty as I'd seen in pictures, although the woman who was part of the group on our table we were sharing said that it was better in the wet weather as you could see the waterfalls better. I did brave the cold to go outside to see the seals however.
When Alice went outside at one point, a strange Eastern European man said to her 'I like red hair, where are you staying?" to which when she replied Queenstown, he said "hmm, that's too far. I wanted to rendezvous with you tonight" which was very presumptuous that she would want to rendezvous with him! I felt very guilty when I was in the toilet and could hear him talk to her again (I tried to be as quick as possible to rescue her). He was asking where she was going to be working on the farm, and said maybe he could travel by motorbike to visit her!
We had dinner again at Fergburgers, this time I had the satay tofu one, as I'd liked Alice's the day before, and she got the falafel one. Despite the fact they're huge burgers we also got some chips to share, and I got wasabi mayo to have with them. We couldn't finish them all so gave them to a man to have whilst he was waiting for his burger.
