We caught the boat from Padang Bai to Gili T and arrived in the island around 12pm. We got a horse and cart to our hostel (Gili Klapa) and checked into our room. Soph was ill so she stayed in the room whilst we had lunch on the beach and then walked around the town. Our friends Stefan and Lucy were also in Gili so we met up with them for dinner at the Pearl, which is where I stayed with Luke, and the food in the restaurant is amazing! We went for a drink after dinner and then walked back to the hostel and went to bed.
The next day we sunbathed all day. We went to the same beach bar for lunch again and then played rummy 5000 back at the hostel. We tried to eat hype sunset in the evening but it was too cloudy for there to be a proper one. We went out in the evening for a night out too which was really fun. We had a few drinks at the hostel and sang a lot and then we walked into town and went to a few bars.
The next morning we went to sunbathe again but on the way to the pool I fell down a concrete step and fell onto a concrete ridge. I knocked over two bikes and fell into a flower bed. I scraped both of my legs and ripped the skin off the top of my toe. It was so so painful and I cried quite a lot! A man at the hostel cleaned me up and bandaged up my toe. We spent the rest of the day by the pool which was good for me as I needed to rest my foot! We walked into town for dinner and ate at a restaurant called Scallywags which was on the seafront! We also booked a boat trip for the next day.
The next day we woke up and walked to the harbour to get our boat. The boat trip was amazing! We saw so many different types of fish and also saw massive sea turtles up close, they were literally swimming right next to us. We also stopped at Gili Air for lunch and looked around the island a bit as we were set to go there.the next day. After the boat trip we walked to the sunset beach, which we got a little lost on and ended up on more of a trek walking across fields and up hills! We arrived just before sunset and got some nice pictures on the swings in the sea. We then walked to the harbour for dinner, we went to a place where we got a pizza, soup and salad bar for £3 and it was really nice!
The next day we chilled around the pool in the morning, had lunch at a baguette restaurant in town. I had a jacket potato with chilli which was so so good! We then got on a public boat over to Gili Air.
