Calias was a town in France that was attacked by English forces. The town, on the brink of starvation, finally surrendered. The general agreed to spare the town but demanded that 6 villagers be sent out with nooses around their necks and he could whatever he wanted to to them. Upon exiting the town, the 6 men were immediately beheaded, sacrificing their lives to save their town and families. Each of the six men actually has a very different look on his face, some acceptance, or rage, or even fear, but every one is different
