The Stockyard Gully Caves (photo) are amazing. They are accessible by 4WD only and they are completely not commercialized. The cave was formed by a river cutting through the limestone, the ground in the cave is completely sand and the river runs through the cave after extreme rain. It was dry today! The cave is about 300m long and pitch black dark for most of it. From here we drove north, stopping to see a near-dry salt lake where you could literally pick up lump...

We are spending 2 nights in Jurien Bay CP, relaxing (chillaxing) catching up on washing, minor car repairs etc. The 3 boys went for a swim this morning and Josh got stung by something in the seaweed (probably Jellyfish but it was not sighted). He had welts over both arms and his torso and was very brave to get back to shore- now he's not so keen on swimming!! The welts had settled down to a red rash by sunset. BBQ for dinner!

We went for a walk around Kings Park in the centre of Perth and had lunch at Cottesloe Beach. We then headed up the coast road an arrived at the Pinnacles at sunset (photo). The Pinnacles are amazinglimestone formations in teh middle of nowhere. We enjoyed running around the Pinnacles and I was pleasantly surprised that you are still allowed so close to these fragile formations.

Yesterday we drove to Perth and had a day of catching up with family and friends. We visited Jeff's cousins John and Linda, saw Kaidan's Penn Friend Lesli, and then spent a lovely evening with Gina, Malcolm, Lillian and Nansen. Thank you to Gina for putting us up for the night!

Last night we camped at Turner CP in Augusta. Today we visited the cape Leeuwin light house, built in 1896. We climbed to the top, 176 steps up the 39m lighthouse. The lense is the original lead crystal dual lense. This cape is where the southern ocean meets the Indian ocean, and you can almost see a line where the 2 currents meet.
