On thursday 13th September I bid a final farewell to St George's NNU, my life for the past 7yrs. During my time there I've made some amazing friends, for life I hope, that I will miss loads. Although it was sad to say goodbye, its also very exciting because it marks the start of my next life chapter.
To celebrate we had a typically british afternoon tea at work, complete with sandwiches, scones and lots of cakes. I am so touched by the effort everyone went to. And I really love the presents I've received - a cath kidston bag (from the NNU) which will be perfect for my travels and a passport covers & St Christopher bottle opener from Boardman ("he can protect you whilst he gets you drunk" - perfect!!!)
In the evening we met for drinks at the Tram in Tooting, before heading to London Town for the last time - destination Tiger Tiger!!! This was followed up by breakfast club at Sharpleys, a tradition i'm gong to miss (until she joins us in Sydney, where she will make us breakfast everyday if we are lucky!!!!)
I now have the boring task of packing. Heading back home to Stoke in the morning to spend time with the family before we fly on the 26th. I envisage many more tears shed these next two weeks, both happy and sad!
