I'm 4 days ahead of my guide's itinerary. I'm in a gorgeous little town that's being historically restored. It's brutally hot in the early afternoon and into the evening. It's best to start walking around 6am and end by 2pm. By 2 it starts getting tortuous, both in temperature and body aches and pains. I walked through the city of Burgos today. It took two hours to get from the east to the west side and back towards the countryside. I've stopped in a tiny town with very few services. All but one of the people staying in the hostel were in the same lodging with me last night. Tonight's hostel is very basic. I'm ready for another hotel room but there isn't a hotel out here. Walked 40 kilometers yesterday and 29 today. Last night I stayed in a hostel connected to the church in the photo with the storks. The distances didn't feel too bad but when I took my boots off I noticed that a small blister on the bottom of my heel (which I was treating as advised) has turned into a huge one that started to get infected.
