Greyfriars Kirkyard Cemetery
Though this cemetery has few gravestones, it is thought that many thousands of people are buried here. It is colloquially known as the 'human lasagne!' There are so many bodies here that when it rains, bones can be found along the surface. Passersby are asked to pick up the bones and place them in the collection box for reburial! It is also the cemetery that J.K Rowling often visited whilst writing the Harry Potter series. There are records and some remaining tombstones for a Mr Peter Petigrew, a McGonagall and the dark lord himself!
