Hi Katie, Glad you are safely in Oz. Shame about the weather as it will have spoiled your first impressions of Sydney. I was lucky to have really good weather, about 3 weeks later than this. And I just loved the harbour area. Give my love to the Bridge and Opera House.
Norfolk folks felt the earthquake much more severely than I did in St A. They could recognise it as a quake. I didn't know what it was which was why it was scarey.
Do enjoy your time in Oz, and keep on showing your photos. We so like seeing them.
Lots of love
Debbie
Hey Sweetheart.
Glad you got there safely. I'm sure the weather will perk up soon.
Sounds like you're already making friends again, shame about the Kiwi.
Hopefully it's just Sidney that's expensive, probably like London is more expensive than Letchworth or Manchester. Although I guess anything would seem expensive after Thailand.
You've only been there a day or so and you're already doing cool things. Wish I could be there.
Had a presentation at uni yesterday. Wasn' expecting to have to actually present cos it was a group project, but the girl who was supposed to be doing it kep having to rush off to be sick. We sent her home and decided to present our individual bits each, but we had no time to rehearse, so we had to wing it. I was so nervous I was trembling all over all the way through, even when my bit had ended. I think the lecturer understood though, cos he only said nice things, but he criticised the others, even though theirs were better than ours (Cos they were all rehearsed.)
Hoping to see Bex and Kay at the weekend, and got Mummy and Daddy coming over for dinner. Daddy's given up meat for lent! Have to find a nice option!!
Miss you so much. Love you even more.

Cousin Cat!
Heya! I am so jealous that you're in Sydney, even if it's raining every 5 minutes! Thailand sounded and looked amazing.
Keep having a fab time, i cant wait for all the stories we have our next en-mass family shindig! love love xxxxx
Mummy
Hi Kate,
Bad luck about the weather though I guess they're glad they're no longer in a drought. Hope you make it to Manley and find out about buses etc. When do you plan to start up the coast?
Daddy's coming home today. Hurray. I'm lookin forward to hearing all about it. A few text messages didn't tell me much. Yesterday Auntie Sue drove me to Stanstead to suss out the parking for picking up. He's not due in until 11 something tonight and at that time of night I don't want to find myself miles from the terminal! I know where to head for now. It was kind of her to suggest it. Gran stayed at no 50 and read!! She was a bit tired.
Dinner at Deb's again this Sunday (Mothering) while Bjorn is in Amsterdam. Lovely meal last week.
Did you hear England had a large (for England) earthquake yesterday at 1am. Some damage, mostly chimney pots falling off. Only one person reported injured. It was in North Lincolnshire and I was asleep, but Auntie Sue was reading! She was in St A and she says it was quite scary as the bed was shaking! It was felt all over the country, apparently. It's supposed to be a one in 30 years type so we're not to start worrying!!
Best of luck and look forward to more blogs and pics.
Love you lots. XXXX
