Our journey starts Manchester - Doha (7hours) and then Doha - Bangkok (7hours). Traveling with Qatar Airline, we have only previously flown long haul with Emirates. The flights itself was easy tons to keep you busy on the entertainment.

In Thailand British citizens automatically get a free 30day visa when arriving by air, we have been told differently about arriving by land (you only receive 15days) however, our return flight is 41 days. Our trip consists of Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. We didn't have any further travel booked so we had no proof. When checking in we were asked to provide a copy of a flight out of the Thailand within 30days, We obviously didn't have that as we were planning to travel by land (which is not classed as confirmed travel). We checked the SkyScanner app and booked the cheapest one way ticket out of Thailand which was an £18pp Flight to Mayanmar - Burma. The airline was happy even though they clearly knew we wasn't going to be getting on the flight.
