So from romantic Cinque Terra, we set off on a challenging train trip... 2 buses and 4 trains all before lunch... to arrive at the beautiful Verona. The home of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Here we saw Juliet's balcony, Romeos House and The Catheral, the three tombs and also saw thousands of not so patient tourists wanting to touch Juliet's boob. The town is very picturisque and it was a nice arvo walking around the town. But even if i never remember the name of the town, I will forever remember my first (and possibly only) Opera. Set in the arena and in a language I can not understand, the orchastra and the singing were done without microphones and the stage work was definately a case of less is more. It was amazing... to say the least, and although very long, i highly recommend to anyone who can sit still long enough, to go to it, just to appreciate the raw talent, hard work and beauty of the productioin. One of my favourite and unique experiences of the Italy leg.
