Went to Disneyland Tokyo yesterday and today. Yesterday we went to the main park, decided to leave early and then got there and had to wait for 45 minutes to actually get in. Tickets were quite cheap, 10000 yen for two days, which is around 40 pound. Went to an early morning fish market, but when we finally got there, we couldn't see any fish. We wandered round for about 30 minutes thinking we had got there too late until we met some people who had been there since 3. We saw a few fish but nothing spectacular. Went back to the hostel and slept all day, even though we were planning on getting up at midday.

After finally working out how to use the subway (Kate managed to get stuck in the gates and then lost her ticket. We're staying in Asakusa, which is in the North East of Tokyo. It is one of the few remaining traditional parts of Tokyo left. It used to be the red light district though! Arrived in Tokyo late morning. Managed to get out of the airport ok and on the train without too much difficulty, though we did spend 10 mins trying to work out how much we should pay and how to work the ticket machine.At the station, armed with a map we tried to find out hostel and ended up completely lost, even after getting directions from a random man.
