Hey everyone.. well I've been back at home now a while after my epic 3 month trip! I had a great time and wish I was still travelling. But reality has set in what with uni, work and prac. I'm in my final year now so lots to do and definitely not enough time.My blog just felt unfinished so I thought I would tell you guys that haven't heard yet about the last few days of my trip.I flew back to Bangkok with Jane and we explored Kho San Rd - Backpacker extraordinaire.. We had a lovely dinner of Pad Thai and explored the clothes and book shops. We went to Chatuchak weekend markets which were amazing. I'd been there briefly the last time I'd been in Bangkok but we didn't see any of the same things and think I could have spent another week there before crossing over my path again. Nat and Sarah met us there and we explored and had lunch. Lunch was an event as the lady had no idea what we were trying to order and we ended up with something completely different to what we were expecting! Then it was time for me to go and say goodbye to the lovely friends I had made. It was really sad saying goodbye to my travelling buddies and roomie Jane for the last 3 weeks...But time for some island relaxation.I caught the metro back to Bangkok, nearly got ripped off by a TukTuk driver and then the Bus to the wharf to Kho Samed. Then the speedboat of death out to the island. I'd tried booking accommodation the day before but the lady at the travel place told me I'd have no problem. Turns out she was wrong and I had a lot of trouble. I finally found a dodgy cabin for the night and would go in search of something a bit better in the morning. In the morning I hired a motorbike and drove around the island. It was great! I love the feeling! It was a bit scary starting out as I had never driven a bike before - only been the passenger. But it worked out fine and only had one slight issue with a hill... I found a place to stay and was about to check in when I realised my wallet wasn't in my bag any more. There was no where else it could be and stupid me, because I was only a few days from the end of my trip and most of my stuff was in storage in Bangkok, I'd had all my money and cards together, including my ticket on the Boat/Bus back to Bangkok. I hadn't opened my bag since putting my wallet in that morning (having been to the ATM and taking out about $200) and couldn't see how it could not be there other than a very good pick pocket. Anyway I looked all around in case for some reason my bag had miraculously come open and it had jumped out but it wasn't anywhere.. While looking I met some Americans from Texas who loaned me their phone to call home and get my cards cancelled then bought me lunch and gave me some money to get back to Bangkok which was very nice of them. Later that night as I was walking out of my hotel room (having found somewhere to stay) there was a guy with my wallet. Everything was in it including all the money. Apparently he had found it right at the other end of the island (about 7km away) which to me didn't make sense because he was standing outside my door and he hadn't handed it in to the Rangers station, the Police station or any of the resorts on the island. It was all very weird and creepy and still doesn't make any sense to me and what was it doing down the other end of the island anyway…So I had a relaxing day and a half after that on the beach then got back to Bangkok in time to do some last minute shopping and eating of Thai food before I had to fly home the next day. I got a taxi to the airport at some horrifically stupid hour of the morning to get my 8am flight. It was so sad to go but at the same time good to be coming home. When I got back to Sydney, just listening to the people, everyone sounded so Australian! It was great seeing Mum who picked me up at the airport and met Dad at home. So, back to reality and life in general. So to all the people back home who I haven't managed to catch up with, I'm sorry and keep harassing me! And to all the people I met overseas, keep in touch and come visit me!Kieranp.s. As you can see I haven't forgotten how to write long blogs
