Well time is flying and my departure date is getting nearer (certainly not complaining!). So I thought it best to let to you know the ways you can help.
We rely on one off donations currently, since we have no sponsors. We of course welcome any donations as this is really our bread and butter at the moment, however if anyone is interested in sponsorship, we have 3 levels of sponsorship available, the details of which are being confirmed currently and will be on the website in the very near future.
Donations can be easily made at any time (but it will be easiest from my point of view to recieve them before i leave) and you will be kept informed of where your money is going. If you are more interested in making a directly focused donation, please feel free to get in touch with me or have a look on the website to see what goals and projects we are working on at the moment, for example building a wall to increase the safety of our children and land.
For those of you who love a good party or event, you could organise a fundraiser. This is a quick and surefire way of raising a lot of money for a great cause! Or you could do a sponsored event, such as a run or a skydive (if you have the guts!).
Finally of course, there is voluntary work. Elohim is run and maintained by a small family of people and we always welcome volunteers to come and spend time with the children, teaching them, helping with homework and running extra curricular activities such as arts and crafts or drama and dance. Voluntary work is how I first became involved with Elohim Child Development Association, so I can assure you that it would be a life changing experience, for you and for the kids! To get more information or to talk about voluntary opportunities, don't be afraid to get in touch with me directly via email or phone!
I hope this has helped provide more details on how you can help and has inspired you to get involved, and don't forget to look to the website and other links to get a better picture of what we do and who we do it for!
