Well, I have actually been in Australia now for over 6 months, and I guess it would have been a good idea to start this blog when I first got here. However I have decided to start it now and also since I have been here I have been from Sydney to Cairns and a lot of places in between. I will catch up on thise places in the blog but also I am going back to sydney at christmas and travelling up the east coast for a second time as one of my good friends is coming over here for a month at New Year. I am in Australia with my fiance and so far we have loved every step of the way, and we have experienced some totally amazing things. So...at the moment we are in the small mining town of Tieri and we have been here for a week. It is defo not a tourist spot! We have been here doing some work but we are leaving tomorrow to go to another job in Emerald not so far away. The way we are travelling round Oz is travel a bit, work a bit and its working quite well for us. Obvs the best part is the travelling but as it is expensive over here you do have to work as well (and we also wanted to get our second year visa). We have had some very good jobs here that have turned into brilliant experiences themselves. Like working in a roadhouse in the outback, that was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and we probably wouldn't be able to say that we have lived in the outback if we didn't do this job. We have done a ll the usual trips such as Noosa Everglades, Fraser Island, Whitsundays, Magnetic Island and Scooteroo at 1770. And we had the time of our life. Right now though I am starting this blog at the working part of the trip...however when this part is over we will be back on the road again to new and exciting destinations such as Alice Springs and Darwin! Tomorrow we will travel to Emerlad to work in a motel. Anthony will be working as a barman and myself a kitchen hand (not to be confused in anyway as a chef or cook! Also not to be left unsupervised at any point in said kitchen!). Right now though I am going to pack my rucksack once again ready for the move and then relax...possibly with the help of a Tooheys Extra Dry or two : ) Will update again tomorrow when we are at our new home.
