hey we made it to the 'rock' yeh man! it was about 400 k's from alice springs but it was well worth it!! we didnt do the walk up it because of the cultural issues behind it!! we decied we are in their country and we should respect it! so we just had a walk around it! oohh we also saw 2 rescues off the rock...it was crazy the guys had to clime up then abseil with a strecher!! so we watched the sunet...it was nice watching the rock change from red to brown...but the sun didnt set right behind it which was annoying but we still got some really good fotos!! we decided we are only here for a one off experience so we woke up to watch the sunrise the next day!! it was not very good!! they make you drive to this place for the sunrise watching but the sunrose on the other side nowhere near the rock so me and mark drove to another place to watch it and got some good fotos!! We are heading to kings canyon now to see if that is ok!! should be good...
