Day 65: Salmon Gums to Munglinup . . . Saturday 29th December Today 'we are mostly' heading towards Esperance we have been told that it is a really lovely place. On the way we passed many huge salt lakes that resemble the appearance of an Ice Rink and when the sun reflects off them they almost blind you with their whiteness. Railway tracks are all over Oz and the wagons full of some type of aggregate can number as many as 100, if you get caught on the crossroads...

Day 57: Elliston to Streaky Bay . . . Friday 21st December Heard from Lee and he said he was going back to Hanoi to spend Christmas with friends. Storms from 6 a.m, very heavy rain and strong winds. Visited Information Centre before we left Elliston to use the tinternet, $5 per hour and it was the best IT centre we had seen . . . run by volunteers and they said that it served the whole community and being some 200K from the largest town it was a necessity. Day 52: Point Turton to Port Broughton. . . Sunday 16th December Breakfast quite early this morning and off in the van, plenty of sun to enjoy and made our way along the other side of the peninsula to Port Victoria and Moonta Bay. Both these bays were lovely with cream sand that went on forever. For hundreds of metres the sea was very shallow, crystal clear and warm ideal for young children to play in, then it dropped suddenly to give a beautiful blue colour . ....

Day 47: Port Campbell to Warrnambool . . . Tuesday 11th December A day of bay-hopping with the first stop at "The Arch" (pics), closely followed by "London Bridge" which must have been from the nursery rhyme because it had fell down (pics), the "Grotto" (pics) all these are really spectacular to see and hear and the power of the sea is amply demonstrated on this stretch of the coast.
