There are actually computers at my hostel so I got a few minutes on here! Fall break is awesome! paris was gorgeous and although I just arrived in Ireland today I already love it. So far travelling has gone according to plan with zero hitches (knock on wood) Plus apparently they celebrate halloween here in ireland so I am really excited! Franny; I would actually love to see halloween decorations because there aren't any in italy! I miss all the fall/halloween decor. I can't believe everything is half over, it's going by too fast!

great to hear from you!! I actually saw a picture of the venitian in las vegas today and it does look very similar! it took me a minute to realize it wasn't actually venice. unfortunately there are almost no trees in florence. some of the trees I have seen change a bit but nothing like the trees in new england so the fall scenery is definitely lacking. I miss halloween decorations and pumpkins too!

It sure sounds like you are having a great time!! We have been through the northern part of Italy but I never got to Venice. Closest I came was The Venitian in LasVegas!Had a gondola ride there!!! I am watching all the beautiful leaves cover our back yard! How is the Fall scenery there? Can't wait for you to make us some pizza!!

60 Minutes had a segment on the oldest known family business in the world which happens to be the wine making business of the Antinori family. It runs vineyards and wineries from Tuscany to Ubria and in California. 26 generations have run the business since 1385!!!!
