Well, here I am, having finally arrived in Melbourne after leaving Scotland, what seems like a life time ago!! Thankfully Australia is nothing like Asia and Malaysia, would be in serious trouble if it was!! Melbourne is a lovely city, the pace of life is really slow and relaxed (I know, finding it hard to adjust to that...i want things to go at 100mph!) Hopefully getting a flat sorted out today, well going to view one today so fingers crossed! Haven't done anything exciting yet over here in OZ as have been spending most days trying to get flats, jobs, tax numbers, phones etc all sorted out, seem to be nearly there so hopefully the fun will kick in shortly! Went on a pub crawl last night with people from the hostel. Have to say, it was a rather tame pub crawl (I expected dancing on tables and things like that...seems they don't go for that over here...may have to rethink my antics on nights out!) Its a bit chillier here compared to Singapore and everywhere else. All the Aussies keep telling us how warm it is and its kinda hard breaking the news that we are finding it a bit chilly (you should see the look on their faces because we are from Scotland and find it cold here!) Anyways, I have only brought one jumper with me so certainly getting my moneys worth out of that one (thanks for making me get it Fi!) Hopefully, will have a flat and job next time I write.
